Refuge at Embalse de Bachimana Bajo

Anyone any information on this building on the Gr 11.Looked like lots of building going on there last year thought they might be opening a new refuge there.

Managed to find a post about this,it is opening July 14 2012 .Makes it a shorter day from Respumoso but heard Casa Piedra in Banos de Panticosa may close when that opens.Hope not

Owen, for the foreseeable future the refuge at Panticosa is going to stay open. Don't know how good peoples spanish is but here is the info from the FAM (Aragon Mountaineering Association) concerning the opening of the new refuge and Casa Piedra staying open.

My better half actually suggested that I go and check it out for you as I am planning another trip for a couple of days in the next couple of weeks, so all going well I'll take a trip down there as it is about a 3 hr drive from my place, take the tent and see wg=hat happens.
