Hi guys,

Doing the Rhinogs in couple of weeks, does anyone know the easiest/safest ways up both Rhinog Fawr and Fach, dont fancy scrambling with heavy packs etc. Going from Cwm Bychan - roman steps - Lllyn Du - Fawr - Fach.

cheers

For Rhinog Fawr just follow the path from Llyn Du up the north / north west side.

For Rhinog Fach follow the wall up from the east side of Llyn Hywe. Up the south side of the mountain. Go back down the same way.

You'll probably want to walk around Fawr to get to Fach.

 Have fun

To second the above - if you follow the wall up and down from Llyn Hywel then you can stach packs at the bottom to save carrying the weight.

Thanks fellas, was gonna leave the pack at Hywell but wasn't sure of the route onto Fawr. Got a map image for me?

Go up the red one. Come down the one of the blues depending which way round Fawr you want togo.
