The Welsh 3000's

Anyone doing the Welsh 3000's soon? 

Listed it in a personal challenge Challenge page and listed the Welsh 3000's and realised I don't have anyone to do it with.......

Only recently joined this forum and spotted your post, on 24th July i actually completed said Welsh 3000 on my own in a time of 14hrs.

Being a glutton for punishment though will quite possibly be traversing this route again in September, either on my own or with a friend, if your still looking to complete this challenge get in touch.

Thanks for the reply, apologies for a delayed response.  I did have a partner for this but he had to drop out and we were going to attempt this coming weekend.

Was thinking of knocking it on the head until I saw your reply, due to my rather daft challenge list I have something on every Sunday in September which we count out a 15 peak on a weekend.

Have you got a date for another go?

Hi Lee,

Presently thinking 17/18 Sept, even that is a little late in the season. Based on a 6am start Snowdon, and roughly 14hrs (my best) to complete, you would not arrive Foel Fras untill after sunset, and that doesn`t include the walkout.

If you want to complete the challenge this year, you might want to consider a reschedule.

P.S. also possible for me midweek 12/16 Sept, on holiday !

I have the Great North Run on the 18th September, so a midweek would work for me.

On the 14th, Sun rises at 06.48 and sets at 19.35

Sounds like it could be on then, weather and the Mrs permitting.

Need to discuss details though, for example bivvying Snowdon Tuesday night 13 Sept?
