Some friends and I would like to plan a trip open boating with our gear to hike/climb some remote Scottish peaks.
Doeas anyone have any advice on routes that are accessible by boat.
Thanks for any help

Knoydart would be an obvious area, its certainly remote & not accessible directly by road.
But would be by boat from Kniloch Hourn.

Sorry Ross - I can't offer any help on this one. I wonder if you know of any uninhabited islands of the coast of Scotland.

One ov me bruvvers has had an ambition to wild camp on a deserted island and it may turn out to be one of our special projects for the fu=ture.

Bon chance

Cheers Lloyd and baga (?)

I was just a bit lazy to figure things out for myself so all advice is acceptable. Iam considering contacting some of the outdoor centres who may hire boats and suggest routes. There was an article about such a trip in Trail mag a while back but cant find it.

That should be Kinloch Hourn above!

Yes Ross, I remember the article you mention but can't remember the hill they went to, might have been Suilven.

Loch Mullardoch's another area where you could combine canoeing & hiking.
