I fancy doing a wild camp one week end in the Beacons.

Meirion: Merthyr Tydfil, wild yes, camp possibly. But seriously for solitude I’d head over to the West around the Black Mountain area, lovely place, now where’s my tent.

I'm from the Rhonnda (which is pretty wild itself) but although I've done a bit of camping up in the North, I've never been to Brecon for a wild camp and it's about time I did. Which town should I head for as a starting point to get up those hills.???
