The wool is a superfine grade, which Finisterre says it has developed exclusively, helping to save a rare sheep along the way, making it exceptionally comfortable against the skin. And like all merino, it's great for temperature management, feeling cool in warm weather as well as being naturally anti-bacterial making it ideal for repeated multi-day use and even trips to the gym.
Finisterre don't just do hot pants, the St Agnes-based brand - it has surfing heritage - also produces merino base layers, lightweight waterproofs hoodies and tees with and emphasis on sustainability and environmental ethics.
The Hot Pants retail for £25 and the vests for £30. There are, as far as we know, no men's equivalents in the range.
