Zamberlan

Zamberlan is a family run Italian outdoor footwear brand, now controlled by the third generation of the Zamberlan family which in 2009 marked its 80th anniversary. However despite marking this milestone with some pride, this is not a company that looks backwards, even with the products that observers might call ‘traditional’.

Much of the Zamberlan range, the high altitude and alpine, contemporary and classic boots) is still made in Italy and the degree of day-to-day involvement of the company’s two principles, brother and sister Marco and Maria Zamberlan, ensures that there is a continuity in the quality of manufacture which is driven by personal pride as well as rigorous adherance to design values and testing, with the latter greatly assisted by, quite literally, stepping outside their factory into the most demanding conditions available.

Zamberlan Steep

Zamberlan’s collection in 2010 extends right across the spectrum of outdoor pursuits, and the core principles for manufacture remain the same, irrespective of market, price or location of manufacture. The Zamberlan Classic range is one that the British market holds in high esteem and many of these models deliver the clearest message of what Zamberlan is actually about. The Steep GT is a prime example. This is a boot that radiates quality from its Vibram Star Trek sole - exclusive to Zamberlan, through the Gote-Tex bootee and full grain nubuck leather. Comfort, style, durability, practicality - this is a boot that stands out against competitors and is hard to fault.

For the more traditional looking leather boot, Zamberlan’s UK best seller is the Vioz, which now has a fully protected, Nubuck sibling, the Vioz Plus, both built to the same standards as the Steep.

In the approach shoe category, the fabric and leather upper Crest has won over all the critics with its up-to-toe lacing system, and a quality of fit that it shares with the Zamberlan 3 and 4 season boots, that feels as though it has been made specially for you yourself.

At the other end of the scale, the winter trekking boots, the Expert and Expert Pro, match the legendary quality and fit with complete protection from the elements and the terrain underfoot, to make Zamberlan THE footwear brand for all outdoor walking and mountain trekking.
