Smartwool Goes Running

These are Smartwool's new running shorts. They use merino wool inner briefs for merino-like performance, but the outer short is a synthetic because it simply feels and performs better when running than a wool-based fabric. Makes sense to us, full merino shorts have a slightly odd quality to them. Also new are bras and a revamped PHD sock construction which we'll tell you about shortly.

I think there's a fair bit of evolution rather than revolution in the industry at the moment, but there are also some interesting new bits and bobs we've not touched on yet. Watch this space over the next few days and we'll bring you some brand-specific updates.

Unless I've missed it, you taunted us with a photo of some new packs from Montane and then not written anything about them...?
