The Velez Adventure in Nikwax Analogy fabric

The favourite Páramo multi-activity smock now comes with a fixed hood – perfect for on the hill or for competition events – and in Ladies’ and Men’s specific fits.

The Velez Adventure fuses technicality with design – for superb comfort and performance whatever the conditions and whatever the adventure:

  • Renowned Nikwax Analogy Waterproof fabric – all the advantages of soft shell and hard shell and none of the disadvantages. Nikwax Analogy
  • pumps away both liquid water and water vapour even in conditions of high humidity, to leave you feeling drier and more comfortable.*
  • Original twin zip design at the front for rapid cooling when required and ease of accommodating a rucksack waist belt;v
  • Fully articulated shoulder and elbows for freedom of movement;v
  • Drop tail for lower back protection;
  • Maps, tools or emergency rations can be stored in the generous chest pocket;
  • Internal handwarming and secure pocket;
  • Roll-away integral hood with wired visor.
  • Reflective piping front and rear for visibility.
  • The average body produces 1 litre of sweat per hour when working hard in the outdoors. Conventional breathable fabrics and even new technologies can only cope with 20% of this moisture build-up on the inside. The rest not only makes you very uncomfortable, it can lead to rapid cooling when you stop and rest. Páramo garments, using Nikwax Directional Textiles, are different. They are able to move all that water away from you.

    Warren Bates, Team Aberdeen Asset Management after competing in yet another adventure racing event......

    “Staying positive during such a tough race is critical to success. You focus on the positives and it was no surprise that the team spent so much time raving about the performance of the Velez. The hood and pocket systems were a revelation, designed by someone with function in mind…….the gear worked magnificently.”

    Whats new?

      Paramo make clothing choice so easy. What should I wear today err Paramo.

    Its likely to rain but when I start climbing the hill im going to be to warm. When  im on the top the temperatures dropped and its windy. The Paramo Valez smock combined with Cascada pants will handle all this without any substitution of clothing. All thats required is adjustment of zips.

    I can also recommend the Cambia shorts and zip neck t shirt.

    Im stuck for a mid layer though, a conventional light weight fleece works for me. Ive not tried Paramo mid layers as I imaging its all a bit to warm n heavy.
