You've just splashed out on new jacket, a super duper down sleeping bag or maybe one of the latest technical softshells. All that and your boots have sprouted a growth like a hyper-active cabbage patch...

What do you do? Just slam it in the washing machine with Zappo Automative Super Bio or just leave it all alone in the hope that it'll wash itself in time? Yep, it's all very confusing and the last thing you want to do is ruin an expensive bit of outdoors clothing or equipment by washing it in the wrong stuff.

Well, finally help is at hand courtesy of the brilliant new OUTDOORSmagic Grangers Care Section. Compiled with the experts at cleaning speclialists Grangers, the Care Section gives easy to follow, step by step instructions to cleaning and reproofing pretty much every conceivable bit of kit that might need cleaning or reproofing from waterproof jackets through softshell and boots to down sleeping bags and clothing.

We reckon it's a major contribution to clothes safety and should help you extract maximum performance from your outdoors kit.

Anyway, enough blather. Go take a look at the new Grangers Care Section.

Oh, and don't put your moggy in the washing machine missus...

Very useful. Now all we need to do is get manufacturers to read it and amend their care labels...

> Granger’s products are developed in partnership with Gore

And we all know how good Gore's fabric care advice is... ("use a soft detergent")

> you should always, always, always read the care label before cleaning

Which will (wrongly) tell you to use detergent...

> If in doubt, contact the manufacturer

Most of whom will (wrongly) tell you to use detergent...

;-)

LOL - I guess I've just filtered out most of it through experience. I generally just check what wash temperature is suggested and whether it's safe to tumble dry or iron :-(
