We don't normally cover much Arc'Teryx kit - don't get us
wrong, it's lovely stuff, beautifully made, cut and designed, but
it's also scary expensive at full retail price, however we thought
we'd make an exception for the company's new women's-specific
packs.
Due out this spring - which in the outdoors industry means any
minute now - the new Maia 50, 65 and 70 packs use waterproof
420ACT fabric with laminated construction mated to an anatomically
curved back system with radially-formed hip-belts. All similar to the
award-winning Naos men's models which they clearly resemble.
A rotating Load Transfer Disc is claimed to ingeniously, erm,
transfer the load efficiently to the hip-belt and the company
modestly claims 'unmatched fit comfort and stability for women on the
move' is the result making heavy load hauling 'a breeze'.
It looks gorgeous, even in the strange lemon - think of it as pack
porn... We're not sure how much it'll retail for, but if you have to
ask, you probably can't afford it anyway....

STOP PRESS Suggested retail price for the three Maia packs is: £300, £325 and £345 for the Maia 50, 65 and 70 respectively. Eeek...
