Brasher's New Fabric Boots

It's FMB Virgil, as Brasher announces two new suede and fabric walking boots for spring / summer 2004 - they'll be in the shops early next year

We've already told you about Brasher's new Trailmaster, 'further up the mountain' three/four-season boot for 2004, but they've also been hard at work on their fabric boot range.

The FMB 1 (above) and FMB 2 GTX (below) - oi, no Germaine Greer / Suzanne Moore jokes at the back, he said obscurely - are new designs both of which use water-proof and breathable Gore-Tex liners to er, keep your feet dry.

The FMB1 - priced at £80 - is the lower cut of the two and constructed from suede and fabric with ventilation panels, brass hardware and non-clogging Brasher soles. It's aimed at hill and valley walkers particularly in warmer conditions.

The higher cut FMB2 costs a tenner more and has a higher cut ankle for increased protection along with a stiffened insole, water-resistant and breathable 2.2mm sude leather and a Gore-Tex lining. Brasher reckon it's better suited to rougher terrain or carrying heavier loads due to the added support. Looking at it, it's actually mainly a suede boot, but there you go, why spoil a good name?

Both Brasher FMB models will be available from early next year. More Brasher information, see the web site.
