Bridgedale's Speedy New Socks
Speed Demon and Speed Diva - light and close fitting but with lots of strategic padding...

A new addition to the range of excellent Bridgedale 'Fast and
Light' X-Hale socks is the Speed Demon in both men's and
women's versions.
It's an ultra-light sock - though we have to say that anyone
gramme counting with socks should probaly seek professional help -
but where it really scores is in combining very thin main areas with
a Tactel mesh section for venting and cooling and carefully mapped,
luxurious, thick T2 double -loop cushioning for impact protection in
strategic areas.

In this case that means under the ball of the foot, around the
heel area and high up under the top lacing section. They're cut short
as well, so they won't look ridiculous with trail or trail-running
shoes.
We'll bring you a proper test shortly, but we reckon these are
going to be great trail-running and even lightweight walking shoes
for use where you want a close-fit but without sacrificing
cushioning.

Pleasingly, while the images on the Bridgedale web site look
white, the grey/black samples we have are, well, grey and black,
which means you can wear them off-road without the dirt showing.
The women's version, the Speed Diva, comes in a fetching
pink variant along with some less gurly options...
