It's going to be farewell to French hardware brand Charlet Moser
in the very near future...

Fortunately though it's just the name that's changing and the famous
French ice gear company will still exist. The brand is now going to
be known as 'Petzl Charlet' and to mark the evolution, there's a
whole new range of pitons, ice axes, crampons and bindings on the
way.
How come? Petzl and Charlet Moser have been sister companies since
March 2000 and we guess that it's taken this long to use up all the
Charlet Moser headed notepaper. Now it's time for a stationary
re-order, they thought they might as well change the name as
well.
Presumably if the Petzl stationery had run out first, things would
be different, but there's no point speculating over things that
didn't happen.
To avoid confusion, the Petzl range will still be badged 'Petzl',
with just the technical ice gear copping the updated moniker.
