Camelbak Ruggedized For 2006
Show News Camelbak's reservoirs will be toughened up for next year thanks to the use of a new, erm, Hydrotanium material for greater strength and burst resistance. 'Ruggedized'? :-)

More show news, this time on the hydration front. The nice people
from Camelbak tell us that as of January / February next year, their
hydration bladders are going to be getting a major tweak in the form
of a new, tougher material.
In American speak, the new Omega Hydrotanium Reservoir will
be 'ruggedized' using a polyurethane film with stronger tensile
strength and burst resistance compared to current Camelbaks. You'lll
be able to recognise the revised bladder once it appears by its
textured surface, which you may be able to make out in the photo
below.
Camelbak has already significantly improved its systems in the
last year or so with the introduction of the Hydroguard
anti-microbial treatment to keep the nasty organisms and mould at bay
and a bi-layer PureFlow delivery tube which resists tainting much
better than the earlier, single-layer versions.
Add to that the excellent Camelbak bite valve and you should have
a very effective mobile drinks solution.
