Christmas Cracker Nine - Alpkit Tin-Can-Man

Latest from Alpkit is a climbing fella made from recycled soft drink cans and looking kind of funky. Or check out Alpkit's excellent range of hoodies and tees for that last minute festive gift :-)

What do you buy for the outdoor person who has everything? Between now and Christmas, we'll be running a daily Christmas Cracker featuring an inspired Christmas gift idea to help you cope with that tricky purchasing situation.

Number Nine: Alpkit Tin-Can-Man

The boys over at Alpkit are best known for their pukka outdoor kit at bargain prices, stuff like the Filo down jacket with its 650 plus fill power goose down filling, their neat self-inflating Airic mattress range and handy bouldering mats, but if functional just isn't christmassy enough for you, check out the utterly useless but quite ornamental Tin-Can-Man.

Utterly in the spirit of Christmas, well, the Wizard of Oz anyway, Tin-Can-Man is an ice climber made from recycled soft drink cans complete with twin ice tools and crampons. He can be suspended from a hook or supplied with a stand and costs £25 complete with a gift-wrapped box.

Ideal for the ice climber in your life. And remember, mad ice climbers have few or no functioning brain cells, so it's a safe bet...

Of course, if the Tin-Can-Man's not to your taste, you could always go for one of Alpkit's rather nice Hoodies, for boz or gurlz, or a down jacket, or a tee-shirt, or, well, just head on over to AlpKit at www.alpkit.com and have a browse. They also have special late night shopping on Tuesdays and Thursdays when you can ring the boys direct with any questions....
