Classic Cotswold Store Going Out With A Bang!
Cotswold Outdoor's Shepherd's Bush branch is closing after 22 years of kitting out mountain-going Londoners, but before it goes, they're having a BIG SALE :-)

One of London's best established outdoors shops is shutting its
doors for good next month, but Cotswold Outdoor's Shepherd's Bush
branch is going out with a bang and a half-price clearance sale
starting this Friday.
The store's been there for 22 years, but it'll be closing down on
13 March thanks to a compulsory closure order which is part of a
local redevelopment project. Before then though, there will be what
Cotswold describes as 'a massive half-price clearance sale' starting
this Friday, 11 February, where as a bonus, shoppers will also
receive a free voucher entitling them to £10 off any purchase
over £30 made at any other Cotswold Outdoor Store in the London
area before the end of the year.
We're betting that more than a handful of London-based OMers have
made the purchasing pilgrimage to Shepherd's Bush over the last 20
years and we can see the odd tear being brushed away. The good news
is that there are still a number of Cotswold Outdoor stores in the
London area, notably the new flagship shop at 23/26 Piccadilly, at
Leyden Street, E1, and in Kingston-upon-Thames and St. Albans.
"We have appreciated the support and loyal custom of shoppers at
the store over the past 22 years, and it is regrettable that the
closure of one of our most highly regarded and deeply rooted stores
has been forced upon us. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience
that the closure may cause, but hope that customers will take
advantage of the £10 incentive and continue shopping with us at
other London stores."
On the positive side, the dowdy horror show that is Shepherd's
Bush Green is totally in need to large scale makeover, so it's not
dying in vain. RIP a great London outdoor shopping institution...
