Complete Icebreaker Range In UK For First Time

The complete range of Icebreaker merino wool clothing is now available in the UK for the first time at Snow+Rock's Covent Garden shop.

The range lives in the so-called Icebreaker Touch_Lab, 'a store' and we quote, ' that you can literally feel your way around'.

We're not quite sure what that means, but the important bit is that the store within a store will carry the largest range of Icebreaker in the northern hemisphere and means that customers both on and off line wanting certain items from the range will no longer have to source them from New Zealand.

The Icebreaker range includes far more than just baselayer kit. They also produce a line of heavier and beautifully-styled mid-weight, mid-layer garments and now even windproof shell clothing using a merino outer layer with a windproof membrane no less.

It's Icebreaker's first Touch_Lab outside New Zealand and reflects their longstanding relationship with Snow+Rock who were the first UK retailer to stock Icebreaker.

Merino, if you don't know by now, is natural wool sourced from a breed of sheep which produces wool with extremely fine fibres. That means there's no itching plus the material is 100 per cent natural, feels comfortable in both hot and cold conditions and when damp and also resists odour.

Icebreaker's wool is sourced from 100 high-country stations along New Zealand's Southern Alps, and the company is the single biggest user of New Zealand merino, recently signing a $29 million contract for a three-year supply.
