More new kit news, this time in the form of the rather neat looking Fell from Contour, those rather affordable quality boot makers...

The Fell is a new lightweight boot which, say Contour, is aimed at entry-level walkers. It's a suede and Cordura design which incorporates a waterproof and breathable Hydroban lining to keep your feet dry.

The New Contour Fell

The lacing system is quite sophisticated for a boot at this level too with 'easy speed lacing' it says here.

We've been consistently impressed with the Contour boots we've used in the past, which combine an affordable price with impressive quality and a broad UK-friendly fit. Quite a few of their range use old Scarpa designs with own-brand soles making them a great option if you can't spring for more expensive boots.

The Fell, which is also available in a women's-specific model, the Lady Fell, should be in the shops shortly and retails for £49.95 - a lot of boot for the money we reckon.
