Cotswold Opens New Keswick Store

The northern Lakes has a whopping great new gear shop with the opening - yesterday - of a new Cotswold Outdoor 9000 ft² 'concept store'. on Main Street, Keswick.

You might think that with George Fishers, Needlesports and others Keswick has enough gear shops already, but what the heck, if Ambleside's anything to go by, the optimum ration is about one local resident to every outdoor retailer...

The new shop will be carrying the full Cotswold Outdoor range and is running a series of promotions throughout July including the chance to join a guided walk with guide Bill O'Connor this Saturday, free Duofold tee-shirts to the first 40 customers who buy from the Mountain Equipment range this week only and free cotton liners and groundsheets with Coleman tents and sleeping bags.

There's also an interesting looking joint promotion with The North Face later in the month with 50 all inclusive day sessions in Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Canoeing or Scrambling up for grabs.
