Front panel uses windproof and damp conditions friendly synthetic insulation, the rest is stretchy Polartec fleece.

Latest OM review is a first look at Marmot's new for winter 2010 Variant Jacket, an interesting mix of windproof, synthetic insulated front panels with sleeves, sides and back made from Polartec's Power Stretch lightweight fleece.

The idea is to combine the strengths of both into one, active-use, cold conditions top, but how well does it work. Check out the full review.
