First impressions of Rab's new for 2010, 250g mountain softshell

Not quite windproof, but as near as damn in in the real world.

Latest review is Rab's new for 2010 lightweight soft shell top, the Alpine Pull-on. Made from highly wind resistant and rapid wicking Pertex Equilibrium fabric - the same material used on the outside of the Vapur-rise range - the top trades off a little wind proofing for increased wicking and breathability.

It also features a fully helmet-comptatible hood with an exoskeleton adjuster and a combined foam and wired peak. And our test medium weighed in at just 250 grammes.
