Free Mountain Bike - Going, Going, Gone

A Scott Reflex 20, worth £579, to be precise, now on its way to one lucky OMer...

Scott Reflex 20A pair of muddy boots is the top form of OM transport, but there are a few alternatives we haven't quite shut the door on. Crampons often do the job nicely, as do kayak paddles, and some of us even dash down hills on a few inches of revolving rubber at weekends ...

To indulge the latter taste, we teamed up with new bike shop Lightspeed to give away a Scott Reflex 20 Mountain Bike, worth £579. It weights 13.3 kg, has Avid Juicy 3 brakes (erm, sounds nice) and generally looks like a fantastic bargain - especially when it's going free.

Unfortunately, only one person could run off with the prize - or ride off with it - so if you entered, this is the moment of truth. Light the fireworks and sound the fanfare now if your name is:

Ann Chapman, from Burton-on-Trent

Congratulations! Just in time for a summer's MTBing too...

For any mountain bikers out there who'll have to stick to their existing weapons of choice for the summer, there's plenty more free gear on offer. Check the competitions page regularly for updates. At the moment, it includes two sets of performance underwear, just in case the summer gets warm and sweaty, not to mention four pairs of Teva Sunkosi sandals/trail shoes, and five pairs of trusty Bridgedale Trekker socks.

Good luck!
