Haglofs has launched its latest Test Pilot scheme, albeit in a
strangely stealthy way...
Every year the Swedish company recruits potential guinea pigs and
gives them a free garment from the range before it's
actually available. All you have to do is use it and report back.
Previous
Test Pilot garments have included the Climber Motion Stretch XCR
jacket and the Shark soft shell, but the latest one up for grabs is a
Haglöfs down jacket shelled with Pertex Quantum fabric - see
piccy.
The Quantum is an incredibly light, densely woven fabric that's
down proof and makes an ideal shell for insulation garments, which is
why Haglöfs has chose to use it for their super lightweight LIM
Down jacket.
The jacket itself uses 700-fill 95/ 5 per-cent goose down, has a
full length front zip with chin guard, elastic bottom and cuffs
and uses quilted construction. It comes in any colour you like as
long as it's black.
So, if you'd like to warm your cockles with a down jacket for free
this winter, yet your frozen butt over to the Haglöfs
Test Pilots web page and follow the instructions there. You'd
better be quick though, you've only three weeks to get your
application in.
Good luck.
