New Gore-Tex waterproof shell clothing coming from Sweden this autumn.
We thought you might appreciate a quick scoop look at what's new in the
outdoor clothing department from Swedish brand
Haglofs this
autumn 2009
including some neat new
Gore-Tex
waterproof shell kit for both men and women.
Haglofs Spitz Q Jacket
We're massive fans of the Haglofs Spitz jacket and for this winter the
women's version, the
Spitz
Q - hint, take the men's version of pretty much anything
Haglofs makes and add a 'Q' for the women's take on it - is back in
some cracking new colours, namely Ice Blue/Arctic Blue,
Black and Fire/Deep Red, all with zips in contrasting colours.
It's cut specifically to hug female lines and is - as we know from the
men's Spitz- a higghley effective technical shell jacket with
waterproof 2-way zip, reinforced shoulders, back and hips for pack use
and and pit-zips.
Fabric is the excellent, slick-moving and lightweigh Gore-Tex Pro Shell
3-layer to give an impressively light weight of 430 grammes in medium
for a fully-specced mountain jacket. So when do the boys get the neat
colours eh? Hmmmph...
Haglofs Guard Q Pant
New for autumn '09 is the highly technical Guard Pant.
Again it's made from Gore-Tex Pro Shell 3-layer fabric and designed as
an all-rounder that can be used for walking, mountaineering or skiing.
There are useful, removable shoulder straps plus pre-formed articulated
knees, leg hems reinforced with Schoeller® Keprotech®,
and integrated, adjustable gaiters. And if things get a tad warm, just
undo the hip-length ventilation zip to aid cooling.
The Guard Pant is also available in a men's version with exactly the
same features, but a male-friendly cut.
Haglofs Gully Jacket
The new for autumn/winter 2009 Gully Jacket is part of the brand's
'Frontcountry' range and aimed at adventurous skiiers who combine their
skiing with hiking and easy mountaineering. The new jacket is aimed
squarely at them and features a combination of an outer fabric which is
3-layer Gore-Tex® Soft Shell for wind and snow protection
combined with a largely fleece-lined interior for insulation.
Underarm pit-zips are fitted for ventilation when the going does get on
the hot side and, not that we're shallow, but it does look rather sharp
with contrasting main and pocket watertight zippers. Claimed weight is
790 grammes in a size large.
All the above should be in the shops in early autumn 2009, more Haglofs
