High Wicking Underwear Winners!

Lots of hikers will fork out a fortune on high wicking, ultra-moisture-managing, do-it-all baselayers but then negate all that good work by wearing a pair of old cotton pants underneath. We've all done it - hands up now, we know you're out there.

To solve the problem, specialist high wicking underwear is on the up, and it's produced by a number of outdoor clothing manufacturers.

Active Travel Apparel is one of these and last month they decided to give away a set of men's and women's underwear, from their Falke range, to two cotton-clad OMers. Nearly a thousand of you jumped at the opportunity - yes, really - and we've finally picked the winners from the prize draw. There are just the two of them - that's two soggy cotton tees down and 998 to go - and their names are:

Congratulations! Your goody bag includes a men's t-shirt and pair of boxers and a women's full support bra and pair of briefs.

According to Active Travel Apparel, Alan and Maria's new gear "actively wicks sweat away from the skin to the surface where it can evaporate to cool you down ... Oh and it looks sexy which is a first for performance undies!"

We'll let the two of them decide on that last point :-)
