Uppers now use new, smoother, softer UK-made Pittards leather.
Sole is tweaked too with revised board and grip.

Brasher's revamped Supalite 2 walking boot is due in the shops at the end of August with a series of tweaks to the design and materials of the seminal lightweight boot reckoned to improve its performance.

The original Supalite was Brasher's lightest ever leather boot - it was revised and became the Supalite 2 in 2010 -  and at just 1100 grammes for a pair of size 9 men's, the tweaked Supalite 2 is still impressively light for a full leather-uppered walking boot. It's recognisably a Supalite, but the new version uses a carefully chosen, UK-produced Pittards leather that Brasher says is both softer and smoother than the original.

There are more changes underfoot too. The sole unit has been refined for a combination of better grip, wear resistance and clearing while a different board in the mid-sole gives a more comfortable, natural underfoot flex.

Otherwise it's pretty much the same with a Gore-Tex waterproof liner, comfortable memory foam padding and a soft leather lining.

Not the most avant garde boot out there in styling terms, but we've always found them to work well with great levels of comfort and a classic, discrete look.

Retail price will be £145 and you can find more details at www.brasher.co.uk.
