The legendary Karrimor brand has had its problems recently, but the good news is that Karrimor packs are in the shops now with more to come and clothing will be appearing from late summer.

We spent yesterday at a not very busy Outdoor Preview trade show
at Birmingham's NEC, more of which later, but there's one piece of
heartening news for fans of British brand Karrimor.
The
company disappeared from the scene last year after running into
financial difficulties, but the good news is that they're back with
more to come. As we told you earlier this year, the packs and
clothing are being distributed by Wynnster, though the actual
product is being designed in house by Karrimor, Wynnster is just
responsible for getting it into the shops.
Packs
New Karrimor packs are already out there and you can expect to
find updated and uprated versions of classic Karrimor designs along
with some new packs - the range looks particularly strong in the big
pack area and for walking day sacs.
Coming next spring will be completely new range of women's
specific sacs rather than women's versions of existing men's packs
plus a revamp of the big pack range.
Clothing
The packs are going to be joined by a comapct, bijoux range of
clothing which will start appearing in the shops late this summer. To
start off with, you'll see only fleece and shells. Interestingly,
Karrimor will be using the impressive eVENT fabric for their
waterproofs and classic Karrimor designs like the Phantom Jacket and
Pant are back, but in eVENT rather than Gore-Tex. There's a good
chance the range will expand next spring as well.
Boots and Bike Kit
The KSB Footwear was already made under licence and has
been unaffected by the tribulations of the main brand and has been
and will continue to be out there in the shops. Finally, the
cycle range of packs and panniers no longer exists at the
moment.
So that's cleared that up. Karrimor will also be working with Blacks to produce an in-house range of Karrimor products for them and will retain full control over product design and manufacture despite earlier confusion.
