Keen Kanyon - New Summer Sandal

Fast-drying uppers, EVA cushioning and a non-marking rubber outsole for grip.

New from hybrid footwear specialist Keen for this summer is the lightweight Kanyon sandal designed to keep your feet sweet and happy in the sunshine but stop your toes getting mullered at the same time.

The Kanyon features a fast-drying webbing upper which is lined with an odour-hostile, hydrophobic – water-hating – stretch mesh which should dry fast, reduce foot pong and wick quickly into the bargain. The anti-microbial bit is courtesy of AEGIS Microshield.

Fastening is by Keen's proven, easy-adjust bungee lace system and underfoot, there's Keen's non-marking, rubber outsole along with an EVA moulded footbed. Finally the sandal features Keen's signature toe protection system where the outsole curves up over the toe area to form a bumper and stop your delicated tootsies from getting stubbed on hostile rocks. 

Interestingly, in photos, the toe area doesn't look quite as clumpy as some previous Keen sandals, but we'll reserve judgement on that until we see them in the flesh.

It's also worth bearing in mind that Keen's water sandals, like the Kanyon, are machine washable. Just chuck them in with a small amount of detergent on a gentle cycle and air dry them afterwards.
