Keen's New Leather Walking Boot
Hybrid footwear specialist launches traditional leather mountain walking boot for autumn.

Keen is best
known for its hybrid footwear, but its latest launch, the Pyrenees, is a
take on the classic leather
walking boot and designed for all-round hill and mountain
walking.
Looks are quite traditional compared with Keen's usual footwear, but
the company says that the technology used in the Pyrenees is solidly
state of the art. There's a KEEN.DRY waterproof membrane with a
two-year guarantee, while the S3 Heel Support Structure and torsional
ESS shank are claimed to - and we quote - 'ensure superb shock,
stability and suspension on any manner of terrain'.
Underfoot there's a removable metatomical footbed and a
carbon rubber outsole with 4mm multi-directional lugs. As you can see
it looks unmistakeably Keen like, and based on our experience with the
brand previously, we'd expect generous forefot and toe-box volume, so
it should be a good choice for anyone looking for a generous fit for
higher than average volume feet.
We're guessing, by the way, that the name means the boot is aimed
squarely at the European market. Price, once it's in store shortly, is £119.99
and you can find more information about the brand at www.keenfootwear.com.
