How do you fancy a complete walking outfit including boots for
just 57 quid?
No, really... Waterproof jacket, shirt, trousers, boots, socks and
base layer.
And cop the specs: the boots are nubuck with a TenTex waterproof
breathable membrane and cost, erm, £17.99. The shell jackets are
waterproof and breathable with microporous coated-nylon fabric and
taped seams for £14.99 and shirts, trousers and gilets are made
from a 36 per-cent nylon / 64 per-cent cotton rip-stop fabric.
Sounds mad. And rather improbably it's all going to be available
from 262 Aldi stores from April 4 as a Special Buy and only while
stocks last.
Full pricelist reads:
• Waterproof Outdoors Jacket - £14.99
• Outdoor Gilets - £9.99
• Outdoor Trousers - £9.99
• Outdoor Shorts - £7.99
• Outdoors Shirts - £6.99
• Walking Boots - £17.99
• Walking Socks - £1.99
• Baselayers - £4.99
And you can even add a Picnic Cool Sack for £14.99 and a pair
of binoculars for £6.99.
Okay, it's budget price gear, but if you're wallet's feeling
light, definitely worth a look, which is why we're trying to get some
in for review. Watch this space...
