Are you a walker or a climber who would like a career in the outdoor industry? Do you have a good eye for detail, are meticulous and enjoy producing accurate and detailed work? Are you willing to undergo training and learn new skills?
PACK TECHNOLOGIST
Lowe Alpine is one of the world’s leading producers of technical backpacks and has an International Pack Department based in Kendal.
We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated person, with a “can do” attitude, to work in a team environment. Previous experience is not necessary, but you need to be determined and a good communicator, both verbal and written. Pack Technologists are the link between pack designers and factory production and the successful applicant will produce detailed and accurate documentation of the designs, communicate with our factories, inspect counter-samples and ensure our designers’ dreams reach reality and meet our discerning customers’ expectations.
An ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Training will be given but an understanding of making sewing patterns or digitising and fabric technology will be a distinct advantage.
The job is office based with a team of designers and technologists who are also keen mountaineers and climbers.
