The big problem with outdoor footwear for kids is that they're
constantly growing, so fit is generally an issue with extra growing
room needed for longer life. Meindl
however, reckons it has the answer with its range of high quality children's footwear
including a removable ' Best
Fit' footbed.
The removable footbed which comes as standard in all Meindl's
children's footwear features a 'Best Fit' line on the insole outlining
an essential 12mm of growing room which should mean the footwear lasts
longer.
There are Magic and Trekking models in the range, all made to Meindl's
adult standards and featuring a mix of materials and shock absorbing
cushioning tailored to young feet.
The Magic Junior Mid
- below - is made with a water resistant velour leather/cordura upper
material and features a Clima lining. It's intended for trekking use
with some ankle protection from the higher cuff plus a protective rand
right round the boot.
An Air-Active footbed helps to keep the foot cool and comfortable and
the MTH Junior Latex rubber profile provides good shock absorption on a
variety of different surfaces. It's available in sizes 26 – 39 with an
R.R.P of £39.99 - £44.99
The Tampa Junior Mid is
made with a mix of velour leather and cordura and again has a Clima
lining. The MTH Junior Latex rubber sole unit with EVA insole is
intended to give stability and grip in all directions. There's also
a rubber toe bumper to protect boot and toes. It is available
in sizes 26 – 39, R.R.P. £42.50 – £47.50.
Finally the Little Magic
3000 shoe is intended to work for a mix of outdoor and
everyday playground use. Again it uses a velour leather/cordura outer
and a Clima lining, Active-Air Best Fit footbed and MTH Junior Latex
rubber, it says here.
And yes, they do look cute as well. More information on Meindl in the
