Mobile Charging For The UK's Climate

Hybrid Solar/Wind/Wind Up charger for where the sun doesn't always shine

Despite the recent mini heatwave we all know the UK's not exactly the sunniest place on the planet, and not ideal for solar powered battery back ups.  One answer for the power hungry mobile devices we carry up the hills is the Miniwiz HYmini, a multi input charger with integrated battery. The HYmini is a handheld, lightweighth, universal charger/adapter that can use wind, solar power, wind up or conventional wall plug to charge most 5V devices.

The internal 1200mAh lithium ion rechargeable stores the power for when it's needed and you can even link multiple solar panels together for faster charging. The wind turbine glows green when actively charging and works with wind speeds from 9 to 40 mph - making them ideal for use on the UK's hills. Having an internal battery to store the charge gives you the option of pre-charging at home then topping up as and when required in the field. The device comes with a USB plug for connecting cameras, GPS devices and MP3 players and can be used with an optional extra handlebar mount for cyclists.

When all else fails you can manually wind the HYmini to charge the battery
