Nike ACG - All Conditions Gear - is the outdoor,
fast-movers arm of sports clothing giants Nike and they generally
have some pretty nice kit in their line-up, particularly if you're a
runner or generally fast-moving type. All the gear featured should be
available in store this month, July 2008.
Pendleton Collaboration...
Pendleton MIll is a classic producer of Native Indian Trade
blankets and this fall, Nike ACG has incorporated their woollen
fabrics and patterns in various garments and shoes including a
limited edition of just 375 jackets using Pendleton fabric
with a single-handed adjustment hood, pit-zips and a leather logo
patch.

Okay. so it's not everyone's cup of tea, but the native American
Indian, Pendleton-inspired patterns crop up elsewhere in the range,
with a bit more subtlety, as with the Air Blazer ACG Mid which
is part of the Trail range and incorporate the technical development
you'd expect from a company of Nike's size.

Trail Range
The Minima Stret Jacket is, pretty much like it say on the
can, a blend of Gore-Tex Paclite and Stretch Paclite fabrics to give
a neat fit and light weight. There's also a women's version and
colours are defiantly bright both for safety and to stop you losing
it...

Stretch is the name of the game again with the Vertical
Shell, again available in both men's and women's versions. It's a
lightweightstretchy 2.5-layer STORM-fit waterproof that packs into
its own kangaroo pocket for convenient stowage.

There's plenty more in the range, but one here for the lasses in
the shape of the very pink Destiny Half Zip Top. It's made
from double-sided brushed stretch chamois Therma-FIT fleece.

When I think Nike I don't think outdoor practical clothing, the coat looks a bit naff but that could be all the zips and flappy bits over the zips I don't like that...either that or I am just against sporty brands jumping on the band wagon. BTW do Nike own Karimoor?

> BTW do Nike own Karimoor? No. The prints are a throwback to mid-90s Polartec, which produced some wacky prints. Berghaus & North Cape used them, IIRC. ACG is a often a disappointment; using good materials, but with daft designs. Note the lovely, angled, water-catching pocket on the featured waterproof...
