Footwear specialist Teva is showing a red card to stinking
sandals with their new 2004 range, or part of it in any case with
several models now treated with an environmentally-friendly
antimicrobial protective system.

The Teva Wraptor 2 - one of
several
models incorporating the Microban
Zinc treatment
|
Four models in the range now incorporate a Microban® Zinc
treatment which is impregnated into the sole unit and hinders the
growth odour-causing bacteria and fungus. It's a permanent treatment,
good for the life of the sandal, which won't wash out or wear
away.
As long time Teva users, we can confirm that this is definitely a
good thing as the footbeds tend to clog with dead skin cells which
then start to pong.
Models which use the new treatment include the £70 Wraptor 2,
which is a running sandal offering, says Teava, 'the protection and
comfort of a boot', the classic £65 Terra-Fi rafting sandal, a
direct descendant of the original Teva watersports sandal and the
£40 Cross Terra and Hurricane, £30.00 models.
Now if the weather would just sort itself out again, we'd have a
great excuse to get out there and develop our Teva tan...
