Osprey Manta 25 Review

Full test of Osprey's innovative, new for 2010 hydration pack.

Osprey's new Manta 25 hydration pack is part of their Hydraulics range and uses a custom Nalgene reservoir which has real advantages over more conventional systems. It's one of the best hydration systems we've used and, in combination with Osprey's build quality and avalanche of design features makes this hydration-friendly daypack a real winner.

Asides from the price, which really is a touch extravagent for people who already have a bladder of some form, rather heavy too surely?

Source widepac 3l (from review here, <£20 and 170g. So the weight equivalent here is over 900g for a 25l rucksac.

A talon 22 isn't light in overall terms but its still notably lighter than this. So you really will have to be pretty sure you want the fancy hydration system.

"Downside is the highish price"

£95 for a small daysac with bladder, what a joke and it's heavier than a Talon 35 and an Exos 46!
