Top TV traveller and all-round nice guy Michael Palin has fessed up over whose trousers he's been wearing...
In a below-the-belt interview with the Independent on Monday 30 September, interviewer Deborah Ross got to the bottom of what trousers he wears when he is out on his travels.Apparently his bone-coloured chinos have been cast aside in favour of a more practical choice:
'They're made by Craghoppers,' he says. They're a very British trouser.'
Palin, so Craghoppers tell us, favours their poly-cotton Kiwi trouser when he's out and about on his travels, so not to be outdone, we got hold of a pair too, and the shorts and there'll be a test up on the site shortly.
Michael Palin's new four-part programme 'Sahara' will be broadcast on BBC1 from 13 October. See this article on the BBC site, where Palin says 'The Sahara is hypnotic, its images remain drilled into my memory more than anywhere else on the planet.' Naturally there will be a book as well.
