Phone Home!

Nice cover piccy of Lucy Creamer perched high above the Avon Gorge but look a little closer and what's that clipped to her harness slap bang in the middle of the pictures, blue on red and about as discreet as the Duchess of York? Yep, a mobile phone. And once you've seen it, it does one of those weird magnetic things with your eye and pretty soon it's all you notice.

And not just any mobile phone, one of those posh water and knock-resistant Erikson ones with the aerial that looks suspciciously like Betty's tongue off Graham Norton. Honestly, it's either a neat bit of product placement or our Lucy really does climb with a phone at her hip, but in either case, what on earth will professional climbing nostalgia purist Jim Perrin say?
