Polar Launches New UK Web Site

Finnish heart rate monitor specialist Polar has launched a brand spanking - or maybe beating - new web site for the UK.

The new site is supposed to make it easier to decide which, if any, of the Polar HRM units to choose, not a bad idea as the range runs all the way through from basic monitors to sophisticated, feature-heavy gizmos which will download your training data to your computer for analysis.

They're not just for professional athletes either - have a look at the outdoors sports section and you'll find units that also include barometer settings to help you monitor changes in the weather while you're on the hill, check your pace and rate of ascent or descent and more.

It goes a stage further too. You can use the web site as an interactive training tool and download your own Polar Exercise Program (sic.) with 'a fully interactive application that displays your training schedule and reports on your progress'.
