Scarpa Gets Flippie With The Floppies
Yes, it is what it looks like, a flip-flop for the mountain boot crowd.

We got a glimpse of Scarpa's
new Flippie at a trade show last year and now it's here in
the flesh just in time for summer.
It might look like a bog standard flip-flop, but Scarpa's R and D team
have poured their hearts and souls into producing what they say is 'the
ultimate in after sports and leisure wear'. It is, they say, 'designed
to the same exacting standards expected from all Scarpa footwear with
emphasis on comfort'.
So no more wearing your Mantas on the beach, the Flippie is a far
better solution with an upper made from water-shedding PU leather with
lined leather straps, an anatomic EVA foot-bed with suede leather
top-sheet - we prefer Indian cotton, but there you go - and an
anti-skid rubber sole.
Yep, it really should be top of the flip-flops... Price of sartorial
sandal superiority is a mere £24.99
which is a lot cheaper than a pair of Mantas. Or even one Manta.
You can find full details of the Flippie and its more serious mountain
relatives at www.scarpa.co.uk
