The search for an Essex climber missing on Ben Nevis since the
weekend may be resumed today, with rescue teams due to make an
assessment of the situation according to the BBC.
Gavin Nightingdale, 39, an from Colchester has been missing since
Saturday after apparently setting off to tackle 'something on the
North Face' of the mountain. The search had to be called off on
Sunday thanks to gale force winds and the risk of avalanche.
Avalanche risk was still too high to resume the search yesterday,
Wednesday, and today's avalanche
risk outlook from the Scottish Avalanche Information Service is
again '3' or 'considerable'. Read the BBC
new story.
