Teva, Yum...

Gratuitous Friday afternoon drool as we satisfy the pathetic fashion cravings of web victims everywhere...

Please forgive us, we're shallow, okay, but while we were talking to Vango, we couldn't help noticing that parent company AMG is now the UK distributor for Teva.

Teva are best known for their rafting sandals, but they've been branching out into shoes and other stuff and we just sort of happened upon this... It's a watersport shoe due out next year called the Gamma. Of course, this is the women's version - nice colours - but there's also one for blokes in a manly shade of grey.

It has perforated synthetic leather and mesh uppers, and we do mean mesh, big panels of it, plus and EVA mid-sole for cushioning and a sticky outsole. Of course we don't really care about that, we just think it looks good. Outraged responses in the forum please... Yes, we are shallow and flippant.

Girly colours Jon? It looks like OM, quite nice actually.

I like the look of it, but what do they mean when they say it's for watersports? What is it actually suitable for?

I'm guessing it's for boating and such, where the sticky outsole is required for sticking to wet decks. Maybe for river crossing stuff too, as the mesh will let them dry out quickly.
