The Hills Are Alive...
... with the sound of music. Or at least they will be if you invest in this bizarre new backpack come sound system from the good ol' US of A. Priceless innovation.

We love this, guaranteed instant popularity on any trail thanks to
a new American backpack that plays music as you go...
The FP Sounds Back Pack Audio System is an awesome bit of kit
that's not only a fully specced daysac, but also incorporates its own
stereo system, all you need is a compact music source like, say, an
iPod or other MP3 player or a CD or minidisc equivalent and the pack
does the rest.
In Pack Entertainment
Inside there's an inner pouch housing a micro amplifier and
battery case, while water-resistant flat panel speakers sit on your
shoulder straps and can be moved up and down for maximum stereo
effect. All you need to do is connect up your music source and off
you go, yomping along while the soundtrack to The Sound of Music
blares out of your armpits. Class... Volume and power controls sit
handily on your shoulder strap for rapid adjustment.
Pump Up The Volume
There
are two models available, the $55 FPS1-2 which uses one and a quarter
inch speakers and the more powerful $75 FPS1-4 which has larger three
and a quarter inch units and is probably a better choice if you want
to keep an entire group and surrounding wildlife entertained...
You think we're joking? You think it's April already? Just check

Now we can get a rucksac with speakers attached to the straps, what tunes should we be playing for the enjoyment of our companions in the outdoors? My personal choices: thrash metal, Vaughan Williams, Rolf Harris and Barry White.

I tempted to make comments about the model in the picture - but then she looks like my gf anyway. I'd be really interested in how they waterproof the speakers.
