Thumbs up to the guys at The North Face who've landed a first place awards at the 2005 Polartec European APEX Design awards.

The award is for the product that best combines style, function and fit together with the innovative use of Polartec fabrics and has been won by the expansively named Women's Long-sleeved Clarke 1/4 Zip which you can see in the piccy below.

The Clarke is a quick-drying, lightweight performance top made using Polartec PowerDr silkweight fabric. TNF say it's fast wicking and quick-drying so well suited to high aerobic activities. It also has an SPF of 40, which offers good protection to the skin from sun damage. It's part of the adrenaline-fuelled Flite series of clothing.

The Women's Long-sleeved Clarke 1/4 Zip will be in the shops this autumn and is available in blue and cream/grey as well as pink, obviously.
