It's not much consolation, but at least someone out there is
rubbing their hands with glee at the rotten, wet summer we're
having.
Step
forward Keith Byrne, adventure racer extraordinary and UK Marketing
Manager of The North Face - "We all know how random the British
summer weather can be and this year has been no exception," says
Keith.
"People have been left wondering whether to bother with a jacket
or umbrella as they've left home but thanks to its lightweight
design, the Prophecy Paclite offers the perfect solution to ensure
they stay dry whatever the weather, without the hassle of carrying a
bulky jacket."
As a result of the incessant rain, TNF's lightweight Prophecy
Paclite Jacket are a whopping 64 per-cent up at the company's Covent
Garden brand store as Londoners snap up the 400-gramme lightweight
waterproof jacket, presumably without having noticed that much of
Covent Garden actually has a roof.
Sightings of My Byrne dancing through Kendal wearing a grass skirt
and whirling three shrunken monkey heads around his ears in a bizarre
rain dance are, we're assured, purely hypothetical. Still, it's nice
to know that someone's happy with the rain.
