Just a quicky to let you know the winners of the Touching The Void
competition we had on the site just before Christmas to promote the
epic film of Joe Simpson's book.
Obviously the story is set in Peru rather than Las Vegas or
Brighton, which most entrants successfully guessed, but the winners
and their prizes are as follows:
1st: Signed Book, Signed poster, Berghaus hat scarf gloves set.
Jeannie Conley
2nd: Book, Signed poster, Berghaus hat scarf gloves set.
freefall matheson
3rd: Book, Signed poster, Berghaus hat scarf gloves set.
Carole Bell
4th: Berghaus hat scarf gloves set.
Jeremy Hadall
5th: Berghaus hat scarf gloves set.
Michael Bell
6th: Berghaus hat scarf gloves set.

We've contacted you all by e-mail, commiserations if your entry
didn't come out of the virtual sack and better luck next time. And if
you haven't seen the film yet, go before it's too late. It's a
mountaineering classic we reckon.

How can you have won top prize for this as well! Not only are Haglofs giving you some kit, and you won that thing on Guy's website (or it was from somewhere around there), but now you win this Berghaus competition. You must have a really lucky name!

It was all totally random. I suppose we could have decided that Jeannie had already won too much, but that would be unfair and probably technically illegal too, although the editor's decision is final seems to cover most things. If it's any consolation, I've never won anything in a competition, ever, bar a tenner in the Lottery :-(
