New And Updated For 2011
Vango's being bullish on its mountain tent line for 2011 with a quick run-down of three tents in their four-season range which they say cater for 'experienced mountaineers, backpackers and four-season campers' and we thought you'd like a quick look.
In our experience, Vango is a cracking brand for anyone looking for tents that come somewhere between the expensive top-end names and the budget end of the market. Generally you get a reliable, well thought out tent, that may not be quite as light as the top-end brands – if that's your bag, check out Force Ten as well – but are significantly lighter on the wallet and still perform well in UK conditions.
So here's a quick look at four new or updated models from the 2011 range that might float your self-inflating mat. The Chinook, Hurricane, Spirit and Equinox. All four have a Protex SPU 5000 rip-stop Nylon fly, a sewn-in groundsheet made of tough HD Nylon 6000 and Powerlite 70001-T6 alloy poles and are recommended by the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
Pictured is the Chinook, a new semi-geodesic model for 2011.
