Britain's favourite curry is the latest dish on the menu from the outdoors food people.

The guys at Wayfayrer Foods have taken consumer opinion on
board with the launch of their latest main meal, Chicken Tikka
Masala.
The
company conducted both consumer and retailer research to decide on
the recipe and even tested it on journalist, yep, we were collared
and force fed at one of last year's trade shows, and the result was a
resounding vote in favour of Britain's favourite curry.
Like other Wayfayrer meals, the latest recipe comes in a sealed
foil sachet and can either be boiled in the bag or opened and heated
direct in a pan. You can also, should you be that way inclined, eat
it cold.
Alongside the curry, there's also a new Pilau rice accompaniment
which goes some way to addressing crticisms that previous Wayfayrer
meals have been short on carbohydrate.
As usual the Wayfayer meal is relatively weighty - 540 grammes is the combined total for rice and curry - compared to dehydrated options, so it's never
likely to make it onto an ultra-lightweight backpacking menu. On the
plus side though, it's reasonably tasty and very quick and easy to
prepare - you can eat it direct from the sachet if that's your
thing.
We have some for test, but we haven't eaten it yet. Update to
follow once we have.

I've never really understood the merits of Wayfayrer meals, they're heavy, expensive and not particularly tasty.
