Dolomites, by Glyn Jones

It's been an interesting geary sort of week on OUTDOORSmagic. We've been testing lots of things, such as Rab's new bombproof winter waterproof shell, the Suilven.

Then there's a rather nice light but still tough tent from the nice people at Terra Nova in the shape of the Voyager Superlite. Throw in a great-gripping pair of trail shoes from the lightweight footwear folk at Innov-8 as well and top it all off with the latest hooded softshell jacket from GoLite.

And you've been testing lots of things too with over 5400 user reviews on the review system right now. It's a great place to track down real world, real user information on outdoor clothing and gear. Have a browse and have your say.

Last but not least, if you're at a loose end this weekend, nip over to North Wales and try out this week's scramble route, it's an alternative to one of the all-time classics and an ideal route for a cold, dry, winter's day. Enjoy.

Have a great outdoors weekend and don't forget, the Kendal Mountain Festival is now on.
